While the new app brings a refreshed UI and many new features, it also launches with some bugs and missing functionality. Google has now confirmed that several improvements and missing features are coming soon.<\/p>\n<p>it&#8217;s only been a day <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/wearables\/fitbit\/fitbit-air-review\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/wearables\/fitbit\/fitbit-air-review\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/wearables\/fitbit\/fitbit-air-review\">Fitbit Air officially launched. Along with the new Fitbit Air, Google also rebranded the Fitbit app to Google Health, which adds features like Google Health Coach and several other upgrades. Now, the company has announced a long list of additional improvements to come.<\/p>\n<p>As detailed in Google <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/googlehealth\/thread\/437068226\/sharing-upcoming-roadmap-and-improvements\" data-url=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/googlehealth\/thread\/437068226\/sharing-upcoming-roadmap-and-improvements\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\">blog post<\/a>The company says it is improving exercise tracking. Runs that were incorrectly labeled as normal workouts will now be classified appropriately, and split tracking will also be added to runs this weekend. Google says this will also improve metric discrepancies when multiple devices are connected to the app at the same time. Additionally, the company also plans to improve the automatic workout detection on Fitbit Air.<\/p>\n<aside data-block-type=\"embed\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\" class=\"hawk-root\"\/>\n<p id=\"elk-2c55906a-1d8a-456c-b1a8-e76648961640-1\">Many improvements related to sleep are also coming. Google says it is addressing issues with sleep scores missing in some sections of the app. Users will also get a new 24-hour sleep overview that combines nighttime sleep and naps together. Apart from this, there will also be an option to manually delete the sleep session.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fancy-box\" id=\"elk-6d0c2d75-e10b-42de-8565-57e10e4045eb\">\n<p>Taking Android Central<\/p>\n<div class=\"fancy_box_body\">\n<p class=\"fancy-box__body-text\">I haven&#8217;t used a Fitbit Air yet, but from the reviews I&#8217;ve read, it seems like Google Health is still a little sketchy. And it&#8217;s great that Google is already acknowledging the missing features and bugs. Dashboard customization is also something I&#8217;m looking forward to when I get a Fitbit Air.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"elk-ec7278b5-e539-4d11-a397-bca9c00772e8\">Google is also working on improvements to nutrition and calorie tracking along with the upgrade <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/wearables\/fitbit\/this-round-of-fitbit-ai-health-coach-updates-has-customizable-vibes-for-goals-and-targets\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/wearables\/fitbit\/this-round-of-fitbit-ai-health-coach-updates-has-customizable-vibes-for-goals-and-targets\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/wearables\/fitbit\/this-round-of-fitbit-ai-health-coach-updates-has-customizable-vibes-for-goals-and-targets\">Ask the coach. Users will soon be able to delete logs directly through Ask Coach as well. The Google Health app is also getting better dashboard customization. Users will be able to rearrange health metrics inside the Health and Today dashboard to suit their preferences.<\/p>\n<p>The company still hasn&#8217;t confirmed exactly when these updates will start rolling out, but given how quickly the issues surfaced after launch, we&#8217;re hopeful that fixes will come soon.
