Google has made cameras smarter with its AI, enabling them to “see” or “understand” what they see. Now, users can create automations based on what their cameras see.

Android Central’s Tech

This camera update is not only a standout feature for Google’s late May patch, but personally, it feels like the most important one anyway. I can imagine this would be useful for frequently occurring events. Like something in your trash or someone or a delivery that’s too important to leave. Google is giving us an easier way to create automations based on camera events (what our camera sees), without necessarily needing to “build it from scratch.”

Using written descriptors, users can design automations and choose which cameras will follow them.
