“Everyone is talking about Suryavanshi and I saw him bat \u2013 it was fantastic,” Tendulkar said. “I mean, he’s really something special. And not only his ability to hit the ball, but the thing that attracted me was his wrist art.<\/span><\/p>\nHe further added, “To be able to play all directions of the ground, you need good wrist work. And he’s not slogging the ball. Asked what advice he would give to the young southpaw if he wants to succeed in Test cricket, Tendulkar said no pressure should be put on the boy. <\/span><\/p>\nTendulkar said that Test cricket will come with its own challenges, but Vaibhav Suryavanshi needs to stay true to himself and not get confused by the many things said to him. <\/span><\/p>\n“I would tell them to just stay that way,” he said. “There’s always a first time. In Test cricket, with age, he will learn how to deal with different challenges. (It’s about having a solution-oriented mindset). There will always be problems. Problems will be there till the last day of your career, till the last ball you face.”<\/span><\/p>\nHe said, “The bowler is asking a question on every ball. Now, what solution do you find? He is a player who looks very confident, very sure of what he wants to do, and I don’t want to mess with his instincts.” <\/span><\/p>\n“The way he sees the ball and the way he reacts to it, if that signal gets disrupted – if you put too many obstacles in between by telling him too many things – that will be the real challenge. I will give him the freedom to go out and bat. Tendulkar concluded his address by saying that Vaibhav Suryavanshi needs to be encouraged to move forward in his career. <\/span><\/p>\nHe also said that no pressure should be put on the young player and Vaibhav Suryavanshi should take appropriate steps in handing over his Test debut to nature instead of rushing into things. <\/span><\/p>\nTendulkar said, “Not just me, everyone would like to see him (playing Test cricket) at some stage or the other. I don’t know when that will happen. But an exciting talent needs encouragement. And if he is doing well, we need to encourage and support and enjoy him, and not put constant pressure on him. You know, he should play this, or he should not do this, or he should not be selected in any team. It is those people.
