One worth watching is Amazfit’s active 2 sports<\/u>On sale today for $79.99. This is a fitness watch with a solid feature set, and it will cost you half what entry-level watches from other brands will cost you. <\/p>\n I’ll confess that when I first heard about Amazfit, I assumed they were some kind of Amazon fitness brand. But there’s no connection\u2014the Amazfit brand is owned by a company called Zepp. And Zepp has quietly been making solid fitness equipment for years, including some unexpected ones. it is best whoop alternative<\/u> (Amazfit Helio Strap, also branded as main<\/u>), working on this one food-tracking camera<\/u><\/a>And it has made several impressive strides in the world of high-end adventure watches. <\/p>\n I I liked Amazfit’s T-Rex 3 Pro when I reviewed it<\/u>: Good hardware, ambitious software features, but ultimately somewhat messy execution. My colleague Meredith Dietz had Similar experience with T-Rex Ultra 2<\/u>. Not all of Zepp’s products reach what they aim for, but that never happens Bad<\/em>And I’m generally quite impressed with the company. <\/p>\n Even at full price, the Active 2 Sport watch is only $99.99. I haven’t tested this watch myself, but I’m giving it a try active max<\/u> ($169.99), the latest version with a larger screen. It’s looking pretty good so far, although you’ll have to wait for my final verdict. Active watches don’t make as big a swing for fancy features as the T-Rex models Meredith and I reviewed, and so it’s much easier for them to fit your needs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n What do you think so far? The Active 2 has GPS and heart rate tracking, sleep tracking, 160+ workout modes, and can handle calls and texts from Bluetooth-connected phones. (Like most fitness watches, Android users get more functionality for replying to texts, but iPhone users can still receive notifications.) Amazfit says the battery lasts 5 days with “heavy use” and 10 days with “normal use.” <\/p>\n The Active 2 can also store music and maps, which is impressive considering other brands only keep their offline maps on high-end watches. That said, Active 2 users have said in forums like This one<\/u><\/a> That storage is limited. Someone says that a map leaves room for 45 minutes of music; Others say they can fit a map and two hours of audio books.
