The increase in demand for AI has led to a shortage.<\/p>\n<p>After reporting earnings, CEO Sanjay Mehrotra told CNBC&#8217;s &#8220;Squawk on the Street&#8221; that key Micron customers are only getting &#8220;half to two-thirds of their requirements&#8221; due to supply shortages.<\/p>\n<p>Micron shares are up 270% from a year ago, but most of those gains have been pared down in 2026.
