She adds, “We have served as friends to each other through all the ups and downs over the years, and what has developed recently was the last thing either of us expected.”<\/p>\n
“Our relationship evolved from a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to treat it with care.”<\/p>\n
“As our emotions evolved, we wanted to take the time to really understand what we were feeling. We also recognized that this only affected us and we never wanted our actions to hurt anyone or be thought of as careless.”<\/p>\n
“We really appreciate the understanding and respect shown in this direction,” the statement said.<\/p>\n
