Prince William and Kate Middleton are focusing on key issues as they prepare for their era in the monarchy.<\/p>\n
Speaking about their goals, former press secretary Simon Case tells author Russell Myers in the book ‘William and Catherine: The Monarchy’s New Era: The Inside Story’.<\/p>\n
Case reveals: “If you look at the foundation of their work, particularly environmental protection, mental health, a focus on early years, addiction, homelessness, these are all issues that are completely focused on society’s basic needs to thrive.”<\/p>\n
\u201cWith his focus on his own family, and how that will in turn impact the broader institution, these are the fundamentals of who he is as a person.\u201d<\/p>\n
As he told Myers: “If you don’t acknowledge that family may be important to them, you’ve basically misunderstood them as people, but it’s not something you can take lightly, close family is something you really have to work at. The same level of dedication is evident in his work.”<\/p>\n
The former private secretary added: “Times have changed, the access to the royal family and (their) personal profiles in the digital age is absolutely extraordinary. But by focusing on specific issues, you know they mean business, if they’re going to raise an issue it’s because they care and they want to make a change.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
