It’s been just a few weeks since the first discount for the Galaxy S26 series and now we’re seeing even bigger price cuts. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A57 and A37 launched earlier this week, but the Poco series is giving tough competition to both the A and S phones.<\/p>\n
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra with 512GB of storage is now \u20ac1,185, which is \u20ac45 less than two weeks ago. Since then, we have published a comparison with the S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra vs iPhone 17 Pro Max article.<\/p>\n
The Samsung Galaxy S26+ was absent from the last price drop, but it’s not without its drawbacks. There’s a big discount on the 512GB model, so the usual \u20ac200 difference between it and the 256GB model has been halved.<\/p>\n

The Samsung Galaxy S26 now starts at \u20ac800, but the 512GB model is significantly more expensive at \u20ac1,000 \u2013 the same 512GB model was just \u20ac870 two weeks ago. This was a better deal, so unless you need a new phone right away or are okay with 256GB of storage, we’d recommend waiting a few weeks.<\/p>\n

As we mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 are available starting this week. Their 256GB models are discounted off the price of the 128GB versions, so it’s kind of a free storage upgrade. It’s even better for the Galaxy A37 as you get an additional 2 GHz of RAM.<\/p>\n

Unlike last year, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ use Exynos chips \u2013 if you want to go with a Snapdragon, you can get the S26 Ultra or one of these Pocos.<\/p>\n
The Poco F8 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a 6,500mAh battery (100W wired, 50W wireless charging). It features a 6.9\u201d display (OLED, Dolby Vision) and triple 50MP cameras \u2013 1\/1.31\u201d main, 5x\/115mm periscope and 102\u00b0 ultra-wide.<\/p>\n

The Poco F8 Pro is slightly smaller, with a 6.69″ display (OLED, Dolby Vision) and uses the older faster Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, plus a 6,210mAh battery (100W wired-only charging). Its cameras are less capable but still quite good \u2013 there’s a 50MP 1\/1.56″ main, a 50MP 2.5x\/60mm telephoto and an 8MP 120\u00b0 Is. Ultra-wide.<\/p>\n

The Poco F7 is a little older and although it doesn’t have a flagship-grade chipset, it has the next best thing \u2013 the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It also has a large 6,500mAh battery (90W wired-only charging) and a 6.83″ display (OLED, Dolby Vision). The camera setup is fairly basic (50MP 1\/1.95″ main, 8MP ultra-wide), but it does well for itself. That’s a lot of hardware for \u20ac310 \u2013 did we mention the aluminum frame? Samsung will charge you \u20ac220 more for the A57.<\/p>\n

Similarly, there is also Xiaomi Redmi 15. It’s not a high-end phone by any means \u2013 especially the camera \u2013 but for \u20ac150 you get a 6.9″ 1080p+ display (144Hz IPS LCD) and a big 7,000mAh battery (33W charging). It’s a 5G phone powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 and has expandable storage (but no headphone jack).<\/p>\n
