    Samsung’s got something new in the works for its foldables this year, as evidence continues to gather for the introduction of the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide model, which introduces a slightly new form-factor alternative to the company’s book-style fold. Although we still haven’t seen the actual hardware first-hand, we recently had the opportunity to check out some renders that attempt to convey the Fold 8 Wide’s new screen size, first in the form of some CAD-based renders, and then with the publication of some screens extracted from One UI 9. We’ve been digging into One UI 9 ourselves, and uncovered some new Fold 8 wide graphics to share with you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    As Samsung rolls out the Android 17-based One UI 9 system software for its fleet of Galaxy devices, some renderings of the Fold 8 Wide have emerged in early firmware builds. Last week, we got a look at these still images:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Even though they don’t show anything about the Fold 8 Wide hardware itself, these screens helped reinforce our expectations for the screen size users can expect. And now we have some new screens, as well as a new animation to top it off:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
