Previously, adding to Google Maps took a lot of work, like searching through your camera roll or struggling to write a review. Today, Google is launching new updates that will make contributing much easier.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nLet’s start with perhaps the most useful change. Google knows that most people take a lot of photos, but don’t usually upload them to Maps.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nCurrently, this feature is only available in English, iOS and US. Google plans to expand it to more regions and Android soon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nFinally, longtime contributors will appreciate this next update: Google Maps is making your impact more visible.
You can now see your total points in the Contribution tab, and your Local Guide level is more visible on your profile.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\nAchievement badges have been updated, so it’s easier to see if someone is a top reviewer, a photo expert, or just new to contributing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nWhen you browse reviews, you’ll see a new visual prompt. High-level contributors now have gold-colored profiles, making it easier to identify trusted voices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
