“Today I need to put an end to the lies linking me to the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein,” the first lady said, in what is being described as a preemptive move against ongoing public speculation. talking to sky News<\/i>Epstein survivor Lisa Phillips expressed skepticism regarding the sudden statement. <\/p>\n
Although she did not provide specific evidence, Phillips said she was confident there was a reason behind the first lady’s decision to speak out now, suggesting more information could emerge in the coming days or weeks. Asked how she felt about the statement, she said: “Well, I mean, it’s obvious that if she says she wasn’t a victim, she wasn’t a victim.”<\/p>\n
“I think people need to separate the woman, the wife from the husband. I think that’s really important,” she said.<\/p>\n
Similarly, when asked if she wanted Ms Trump to contact her and her fellow survivors, Phillips responded: “Wouldn’t that be the next step for her? Why would you make a statement like that and then do nothing?”<\/p>\n
Going further, Ms Trump also said she never had any relationship with Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, saying they had only had “casual correspondence”.<\/p>\n
Ms Trump added: “I was never friends with Epstein. Donald and I were invited to the same parties as Epstein from time to time, because it’s common for social circles to overlap in New York City.”<\/p>\n
