In a brilliant display of power-hitting, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi <\/strong>And Dhruv Jurel<\/strong> It helped his team chase down Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)’s 201\/8 with two overs to spare at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium. Joffra Archer dismissed Phil Salt for a golden duck on the very first ball of the innings. Virat Kohli (32 off 16) counter-attacked and added 45 runs with Devdutt Padikkal (14) with the help of seven fours. However, Ravi Bishnoi turned the tide of the match by dismissing Kohli and Krunal Pandya (1) in quick succession.<\/p>\n

RCB slipped to 76\/5 with the dismissal of Jitesh Sharma (5) and soon Tim David (13) was out, taking their score to 94\/6. After this, captain Rajat Patidar, playing the captaincy innings, scored 63 runs (4 fours, 4 sixes) in 40 balls. He was supported by Romario Shepherd (22 off 11) and Venkatesh Iyer (29* off 15), who added 41 runs in the last three overs to take RCB to 201\/8. For RR, Bishnoi (2\/32), Archer (2\/33), and Brijesh Sharma (2\/37) were the bowlers.<\/p>\n

Chase: Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel Blitz<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Chasing 202 runs, Rajasthan lost the wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) early. But then came uncapped Indian opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who played a explosive innings. He scored 78 runs including 8 fours and 7 sixes in just 26 balls at a tremendous strike rate of 300. They tore apart the RCB pace attack, especially Abhinandan Singh who gave away 18 runs in his only over and Romario Shepherd who gave away 18 runs in his only over.<\/p>\n

Suryavanshi added 108 runs in just 37 balls for the second wicket with Dhruv Jurel, who played the role of the perfect anchor. Jurel remained unbeaten on 81 runs from 43 balls (8 fours, 3 sixes), rotating the strike and hitting boundaries at will. After Suryavanshi fell to Krunal Pandya, and Shimron Hetmyer (0) and Ryan Parag (3) were out cheaply, Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja (24 not out off 25) chased down the target with 12 balls to spare.<\/p>\n
