Ashley, whose real name is Ashley Robinson, traveled to Zanzibar with her boyfriend Joe McCann on April 5 to celebrate her birthday.<\/p>\n
The influencer’s family has released a statement on social media, revealing that they are assisting Zanzibarian authorities with the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n
“One moment she was celebrating love and life in true Ashley fashion, and the next moment she was gone,” Ashley and Joe’s families said in their joint statement. <\/p>\n
“The suddenness, unanswered questions and distance from home have made this tragedy even heavier for our family,” the statement said. “Ashley was deeply loved. She was vibrant, full of life and had so much ahead of her. Our family is completely devastated.”<\/p>\n
