The Pixel 10a borrows a few software tricks from its mainline Pixel 10 counterparts which is a welcome addition to the A-series models. These include Macro Focus and Camera Coach, two incredible features that help you improve your photography game.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, with so much reliance on software, the Pixel 10a is what you make of it. If you never change your settings or explore the latest Google features, you&#8217;ll have a lousy experience. It features a 6.3-inch OLED panel with a 1080 x 2424 resolution and a 3,000-nit peak brightness rating. Like some A-series phones before it, the Pixel 10a is equipped with a 120Hz display for smoother scrolling, but it&#8217;s not enabled by default. It is disabled by default as it uses more battery, but it is advisable to turn it on for more satisfactory response and quick response.<\/p>\n<p>This toggle should probably be on automatically. After all, people go to great lengths to avoid 60Hz phones. The software feature was great for capturing close-up photos of a subject, but the 13MP ultrawide camera left much to be desired in terms of quality, and the wide-angle field of view caused visual distortion. Starting with the Google Pixel 10a, you can now use macro focus with the primary 48MP shooter to capture sharper, more detailed images.<\/p>\n<p>The main camera also enables natural focal length and 2x sensor cropping for optical-quality zoom <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/phones\/how-to-use-macro-focus-on-pixel-7-pro\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/phones\/how-to-use-macro-focus-on-pixel-7-pro\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/phones\/how-to-use-macro-focus-on-pixel-7-pro\">When using macro focus. When you get close enough, you&#8217;ll notice a change in the style of your image preview in the viewfinder. A flower icon will appear in the upper right corner of the screen, confirming that you are using macro focus. The display was rich toward the center, duller and less bright toward the edges. While some people may like the look of adaptive colors, I felt it took away from the quality of my Pixel 10a screen. By switching to Natural, my Pixel 10a screen immediately looked better, as this viewing mode evened out color vibrancy and brightness across the entire screen.<\/p>\n<p>You can choose a color mode in <strong>by settings app<\/strong> harness <strong>Display<\/strong> <strong>&#038; touch<\/strong>to select again <strong>Colour<\/strong>. There you will be able to select <strong>Natural <\/strong>Or <strong>adaptive<\/strong> And watch the screen change in real time. Google provides three sample images to help you figure out which look works better for you. Instead, the modem is new and now matches the rest of the Pixel 10 series. The Exynos 5400 modem inside the Pixel 10a adds, among other things, satellite connectivity support. As a result, this phone is the first A-series device to support Google&#8217;s Satellite SOS feature. This is a device that can ultimately save your life.<\/p>\n<p>The way it works is simple. When cellular service is down, say if you are on a remote trip, you are generally unable to contact emergency services for help. Features like Satellite SOS make it possible to use overhead satellites to contact emergency services in a pinch, even if you don&#8217;t have cellular service. This is an incredible, potentially life-saving tool.
