Our modern AI era holds a lot of big promises, but what’s most likely to be truly impressive is the availability of AI agents that actually know us and our needs on a holistic level. At the beginning of the year, Google announced Personal Intelligence for Gemini, which is designed to help solve problems by relying on broader contextual knowledge of our digital lives. And now Google shares that personal intelligence is making a big, global expansion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/picture><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\nPersonal Intelligence is designed to tap into Gmail, Photos, YouTube and Search, look at your usage history and the content you’ve already shared, and then find the most appropriate data to empower it to address your inputs. For example, in this demo video Google shows how Personal Intelligence can answer questions about your vehicle’s tires by identifying the make and model and thinking about your travel needs:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nIn this case, Personal Intelligence was able to pull that data together from content like photos shared on Google Photos. And when it can’t find the necessary context itself, it can always ask you to fill in the blanks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nInitially, access to Personal Intelligence was a bit limited, and when Google first introduced the tool it was only available to paid AI Pro and AI Ultra customers in the US. At the time, the company also mentioned plans to eventually expand access to more regions \u2014 and now that’s actually starting to happen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nFirst, we’ve got a big global push, as Google has flipped the switch on personal intelligence for users around the world \u2013 with the notable exceptions of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the UK. And in addition to Pro and Ultra, you can get access through the more affordable AI Plus. This also means that it is working now all supported gemini languages<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nHowever, what’s even better is that personal intelligence is reaching all of us are not doing<\/strong> Paying for Google AI plan. As was done with Personal Intelligence for free users in the US last month, the next step in this expansion is to bring it to all the remaining free accounts. While there’s no exact ETA, Google says we can expect “a broader rollout to free users coming in the next few weeks.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
