Samsung recently introduced Quick Share AirDrop support for its Galaxy phones. After first arriving on the Galaxy S26 series, support is now starting to spread to older Galaxy devices via One UI 8.5 beta. While this feature allows for quick and easy file transfers between Galaxy phones and iPhones, users have noticed a small problem. The good news is that Samsung is fully considering this and a fix is \u200b\u200bin the works.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Documents, photos, and other things have metadata that tells you things like file size, creation date, and more. When sending a file via Quick Share, this data should be transferred with it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nHowever, lord of the galaxy<\/a> (via mojo trick<\/em><\/a>) have noticed that after sending a file to an iPhone some of this information is missing, especially location and camera lens data. The problem appears to be even worse with video, where hardly any metadata is kept, except for a few details like resolution.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nOn the Korean Samsung community site, a moderator has confirmed that there is an issue when sharing files with iPhones. The moderator also confirms that the Quick Share team is aware of the bug and are working on a fix. According to the post, the fix will be included in the next software update.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
