The post highlights it as a “native desktop experience” for Mac. One of the capabilities Google mentions is the ability for users to take advantage of shortcuts. When you’re busy multitasking and bouncing between windows, Google says you can bring up Gemini by using the Option+Space shortcut. It says that doing this will not take you out of the current window.

A quick Q&A session, formatting assistance with documents, or AI-generated images and videos are all possible through this shortcut for Gemini.

Article continues below <default:svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" aria-hidden="true" class="inline-block w-2.5 h-2.5 ml-2" fill="currentColor" preserveaspectratio="xMidYMid meet" viewbox="0 0 1000 1000"><default:path d="M1000 100L500 900 0 100h1000z"/></default:svg>

            you may like

However, for those instances when you need Gemini to actually “see” what you’re talking about, Google points macOS users toward a “Share Window” option.
