You earn miles from flights and credit card spending, then redeem them for reward flights at SQ and Scoot. People sometimes ask why KrisFlyer. This perception ranges from national pride, SQ fandom, to some irrational loyalty to the sarong kebaya. I like SQ. Many Singaporeans do this. But “I like them” is not a strategy. I chose KrisFlyer for three practical reasons: Geography, earning infrastructureAnd expenditure flexibility. If those three things didn’t line up, I’d be collecting something else. If you’re wondering why join KrisFlyer instead of other frequent flyer programs, this post is my personal argument. No comparison guide, no “best programs” ranking.
