Video: Meghan Markle speaks out on her 10 years of ordeal: ‘My wish for you is that you continue’\/via Jonathan Brady\/Pool<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nMeghan Markle has issued a prayer of sorts, offering wishes for all the young people she has met while she sat down with students at Melbourne’s Swinburne University of Technology while discussing social media bans against teenagers after fears grew over social media abuse. <\/p>\n
She touched on the specifics of the issues before sharing her wish, saying, “Right now, for 10 years, every day for 10 years, I’ve been bullied and attacked and I was the most trolled person in the entire world – male or female. But I’m still here. And so when I think about all of you and what you’re experiencing, I think a lot of it has to do with realizing that, you know, that industry, that A billion dollar industry that is completely stagnant and based on cruelty to get clicks, that is not going to change so you have to be stronger than that.<\/p>\n
So “My wish for you is that you continue to be who and what you are. Surprise a mean world with your acts of kindness and allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart. And this is my wish for all of you too. And you can do it. You can do it together. I’m not going to say it’s easy. I’ll personally tell you it’s not easy, but you can do it. And my wish for all of you is That you keep it going.”<\/p>\n
Meghan wasn’t the only Sussex woman to speak out, as her husband Prince Harry had an in-depth discussion about growing needs and more. But at one point he shared his personal feelings when he offered his opinion on the ban.<\/p>\n
In his view, “So many countries have now followed suit, but it should never have been banned. It should never have been banned. And now that it’s banned, what’s next? Because the companies themselves have to be accountable and there’s no way to punish young people by banning them from something that should be safe to use, no matter what.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
