Amazon MGM studios chief pushing for new James Bond<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\nAs anticipation grows over who will be the next 007 agent, the studio behind the franchise, Amazon’s MGM Studios, has remained tight-lipped.<\/p>\n
In this full-on secrecy environment, a few breadcrumbs are dropped to let fans know what to expect.<\/p>\n
Let’s start with Denis Villeneuve, the Canadian filmmaker best known for Dune, who is attached to the film.<\/p>\n
with Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders, to write the screenplay.<\/p>\n
These names indicate the seriousness with which the studio is approaching making the spectacle following the exit of Daniel Craig, the last Bond agent.<\/p>\n
Now, at CinemaCon, Courtenay Valenti, head of Amazon MGM Studios, has asked fans to be patient as they are taking their time to deliver the best experience yet.<\/p>\n
He said, “Now, I know you’re all wondering when we’ll announce who is playing James Bond.”<\/p>\n
“Don’t get too excited. Please know that we’re taking the time to do this with care and deep respect. Bringing audiences this next chapter is a lifelong dream for all of us, and it’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly.”<\/p>\n
She added, “What I can tell you is this: When you combine one of the most beloved franchises in history with a world-class filmmaking team, including brilliant director Denis Villeneuve, extraordinary producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman, executive producer Tanya LaPointe and screenwriter Steven Knight, you are setting the stage for something truly worthy of the Bond legacy.”<\/p>\n
“That movie is coming, and when the time is right, we’ll have a lot to share,” Courtenay concluded.<\/p>\n
Regardless of the message, fans are busy speculating who will become the next James Bond. Names ranging from Jacob Elordi to Callum Turner have been thrown into the mix.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
