Police have been deployed to FAMU (Florida A&M University) amid reports of an active shooter at the scene.<\/p>\n

The city’s crime map shows a callout for “openly carrying a weapon” in the area of \u200b\u200bLake Bradford Road and FAMU, the Tallahassee Democrat reports.<\/p>\n

Lt. Damon Miller, a watch commander with the Tallahassee Police Department, said he had received a call about an active shooter \u2014 but there was no active shooter, the Tallahassee Democrat reported. And a robot competition was mistaken for a shootout.<\/p>\n
