\u2014 Acts 9:15<\/em>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\nWould you expect alcohol to come out of a jug of motor oil? What would happen if you cracked an egg and found maple syrup in it? Or how about unpacking your suitcase and finding a bed of tulips in bloom? Not likely, right?<\/p>\n
Likewise, you wouldn’t expect to hear of Saul saying or doing anything to promote Jesus’ cause. Saul was persecuting Jesus’ followers. He was the chief engineer of the religious leaders’ project to destroy the early church, and nothing was going to stop him.<\/p>\n
But then Jesus did it.<\/p>\n
One day Jesus stopped Saul with a blinding light on the road to Damascus. Jesus spoke to Saul, converted him, and dwelt in him \u2013 just as He did in all other believers. Saul became a new creation. He went from death to life, from unbelief to faith, from “making murderous threats” to proclaiming Christ.<\/p>\n
How could a story like this come into your life? As the risen Christ continues to grow fully in you, what is growing in you?<\/p>\n
You may not be Saul, but if you believe in Jesus as your Savior, you are a new creation like Saul and many others. And Christ’s goal is to show up in your life through transformative work.<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t“Open our eyes, Lord. We want to see Jesus” \u2013 working within us and within those we love. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
