The investigation began in January after a complaint of an inappropriate relationship between a female school teacher and a former student. Marissa Noel, 31, a former fifth-grade teacher in Louisiana, has been arrested on suspicion of multiple charges.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>He faces a total of 25, according to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff&#8217;s Office. Of these, 10 involve allegations of indecent behavior with teenagers. One count of first-degree rape, two counts of child sexual abuse material, one count of unlawful communication and three counts of computer-assisted solicitation of a minor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Authorities say the woman allegedly abused her position of trust with students \u2014 and there are multiple alleged victims.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Sheriff Beckett Breaux began an investigation on January 28.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>This happened after a complaint was received that Noel had an &#8220;inappropriate relationship with one of his former students&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>At the time, she was a teacher at Teche Elementary School.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/ex-teacher-faces-25-charges-including-rape-abuse-investigation-widens\">fox news<\/a>Authorities said, with the assistance of the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigations, there was enough evidence to arrest the former teacher on suspicion of four counts of indecent conduct with juveniles and four counts of computer-assisted solicitation of a minor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">Authorities say additional charges were added after another unidentified alleged victim was identified.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Authorities have not disclosed the ages of the former teacher&#8217;s alleged victims.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Noel is now being held at the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center, and has been there since Monday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The investigation is still ongoing and it is unclear whether more charges will be filed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A school teacher is accused of having an intimate relationship with a former student and has been charged with multiple counts.
