RCMP have confirmed that a Calgary woman who went missing earlier this month has been found dead in rural Saskatchewan.<\/p>\n
Dianne Cooper, 82, was last seen on April 6 after leaving her home in the Edgemont area of \u200b\u200bCalgary with her dog. <\/p>\n
A security camera later captured her in Stettler, Alberta, where she stopped for fuel and was then seen in the village of Hoosier in western Saskatchewan around midnight.<\/p>\n
In a news release issued Sunday, Consort RCMP said Cooper’s body was discovered near Kindersley, Saskatchewan, on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n
Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.<\/p>\n
The discovery comes after nearly two weeks of searching in parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Cooper’s dog was found alive.<\/p>\n
Family members shared their grief in a message posted on social media. Her granddaughter Zoe wrote, “Unfortunately our grandmother has passed away. Although it is not completely unexpected, we are completely heartbroken. By some miracle, our dog Hello has survived.”<\/p>\n
The RCMP did not release further details about the circumstances surrounding Cooper’s death.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
