The offering combines virtual and in-person visits, prescription management and pharmacy fulfillment, positioning weight management as a long-term chronic condition rather than a one-time prescription. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Providing customers with fast, convenient medication access and clear, transparent pricing is integral to how Amazon Pharmacy is transforming the pharmacy experience,&#8221; said Tanvi Patel, the company&#8217;s vice president and general manager of Amazon Pharmacy. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aboutamazon.com\/news\/retail\/amazon-glp1-management-program\">Press release<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;By expanding access to the latest GLP-1 medicines with upfront, clear pricing, we are making it easier for customers to get the treatments prescribed by their health care providers and stay on those medicines because they are reliably delivered directly to patients,&#8221; Patel said. <\/p>\n<p>Through Amazon Pharmacy, patients will be able to access medications, including prescription drugs <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-3\">Novo Nordisk&#8217;s<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span>    WeGovi as well as new oral GLP-1 options. Amazon said insured pricing will start at $25 per month. It says oral medications start at $149 per month for patients paying cash. <\/p>\n<p>Injectable treatments, including Wegovi shots and <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-4\">Eli Lilly&#8217;s<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span>    ZepBound, Amazon said, starts at $299 per month when paid without insurance. <\/p>\n<p>These prices are broadly in line with the current market.<\/p>\n<p>But Amazon&#8217;s edge is in same-day delivery and convenience as it looks to leverage its logistics network and access to the consumer at the other end of the medical system. <\/p>\n<p>The company also said it will offer on-demand prescription renewals, starting at $29 for message consultations and $49 for video care.
