Key Insights: The league’s most dominant batting pairs<\/h3>\n

AB de Villiers-Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle-Virat Kohli have made the most half-century partnerships in the IPL. Both pairs made 21-21 stands.<\/p>\n

ABD and Kohli also have the highest number of century partnerships in the IPL, with 10 partnerships between them.<\/p>\n

The RCB pair have also scored the highest partnership runs in the league, with 3123 runs between them in 76 innings.<\/p>\n

Both of them made the record of the biggest partnership in an IPL innings, when they scored 229 runs for the second wicket. RCB against Gujarat Lions in 2016<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ABD-Kohli also jointly hold the record of scoring most double centuries in IPL along with Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill.<\/p>\n

Gayle-Kohli and Sudarshan-Gill are the two pairs to score 10 or more fifty-plus runs in domestic IPL matches.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, ABD and Kohli have made the most fifty-plus partnerships in IPL games, with 12 stands between them.<\/p>\n

Faf du Plessis and Kohli recorded eight partnerships of 50 or more runs for RCB in the 2023 season, the most by any pair in the IPL edition.<\/p>\n

Gayle-Kohli and Ishan Kishan-Rohit Sharma have made three or more fifty-run partnerships against four opponents each in the IPL.<\/p>\n

Gautam Gambhir-Robin Uthappa and Gayle-Kohli have made fifty-plus partnerships nine times in successful chases, which is the joint-highest by any pair in the IPL.<\/p>\n

Overall, Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul have the most fifty-plus partnerships in run chases, with 11 partnerships between them.<\/p>\n

MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja are the only pair to have more than 10 partnerships of 50 or more runs for the fourth or lower wicket in the IPL.<\/p>\n

Of the 20 partnerships of over fifty between Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner, 18 were for the first wicket, the highest partnership by an opening pair in the IPL.<\/p>\n
