At least one person was killed and five others were wounded in a shooting inside the food court of a Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge on Friday, authorities said, according to the AP.Police said the shooting occurred due to a clash between two groups and was not a random attack. Baton Rouge Police Chief TJ Morse told the AP that five people were taken into custody and there was no threat to the public.According to police, the incident started around 1.30 pm when an argument between the two groups escalated into firing. Authorities initially said at least 10 people were injured, but later revised the number to five.According to police and eyewitnesses, the firing caused shopkeepers and employees to run here and there for safety. Desiree Batten, who works at a clothing store, said she and co-workers ran to the break room. “We hid there until the police came and arrested us,” Batten said.Police appealed to witnesses to share any video of the shooting.
