Keep yourself out of sight; Don’t let it get in the way and spoil the work, although this would be natural. Walk humbly with God. Let us work for the Guru with selfless energy, aware of the constant presence of God before us. Think about Moses, how much patience and fortitude he had in his life. Paul, in his letter to the Hebrews, says, ‘For after seeing him who is invisible, he endured.’ The character Paul thus ascribes to Moses does not imply mere passive resistance to evil, but true perseverance. He always kept the Lord before him, and the Lord was always at his right hand to help him.

Moses had a deep sense of the personal presence of God. Not only had he been expecting Christ to appear in the flesh for ages, he also saw Christ accompanying the children of Israel on all their journeys in a special way. God was real to him, always present in his thoughts. When misunderstood, when called upon to face danger and endure humiliation for the sake of Christ, they endured without retribution. Moses believed in God who needed him, and who would help him because of his need. God was his present help.<\/font><\/p>\n
