On December 14, 2025, Rob and his wife Michelle were found lifeless with multiple sharp force injuries at their Brentwood residence located in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The late couple’s son, Nick Rayner, is in police custody on suspicion of murder and the case is still ongoing.<\/p>\n
Jake wrote a heartbreaking post on that substack<\/i>Where he spoke for the first time about the death of his parents and the grief he is going through after their tragic demise.<\/p>\n
One thing that is shattering him is that his parents will not be there with him to celebrate his upcoming milestone.<\/p>\n
Jake wrote, “A lot of things were robbed from me that day. My parents won’t be at my wedding, they won’t get to hold their future grandchild, and they won’t get to see me have the successful career I’m still pursuing. At the same time, it breaks my heart and makes me angry.”<\/p>\n
He acknowledged that “losing both parents at the same time” is the worst thing that “nobody can prepare you for,” adding, “It’s too devastating to understand.”<\/p>\n
“I still wake up every morning and convince myself that, no, this is not a dream. This is really my living nightmare,” Suffering <\/i>The star’s son shared.<\/p>\n
Rob and Michelle are “at the center” of his life, as he described them as his “guiding lights, the foundation of who I am as a human being, and the most giving people I have ever met”.<\/p>\n
