This puts it at the same price as the A37 and the A57 is easily the better phone. Both these phones launch with One UI 8.5 (Android 16) and will get 6 major OS updates.

The Poco F8 Pro is a bit expensive, but it has a flagship chipset – the Snapdragon 8 Elite (which is a year old at this point). It also brings a telephoto camera, a 50MP 2.5x/60mm module, as well as a larger 6,210mAh battery with 100W wired charging (and 22.5W reverse). This gave Poco an edge in our testing with an active usage score of 17:35 hours versus 13:59 hours for the Galaxy A57.

You can get the more current Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with the Poco F8 Ultra. It brings a larger 6.9” display (up from 6.59”), a larger 6,500mAh battery (18:52h active usage score) that also does 50W wireless charging, a larger 50MP sensor at the main (1/1.31” vs 1/1.55”), a longer 50MP 5x/115mm telephoto and an improved 50MP ultra-wide (vs 8MP).

Of course, Ultra costs extra. The Realme 16 Professional (vs 20MP). The Motorola Signature is a tentative return to the flagship segment – this 7mm phone packs a 6.8″ display (165Hz LTPO) and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (not Elite) chipset. The 5,200mAh battery isn’t huge, but it performed well in our tests with a 16:13h active usage score.
