Interscope Records signs rising star in 2022. He was giving hit tracks like Sleep Well and Poetic Vulgarity at that time.<\/p>\n
Then, came the shocking death of the 14-year-old, whose decomposed remains were found in a vehicle registered in the rap star’s name.<\/p>\n
A report from Rolling Stone states that Dv4d was quietly dropped by Interscope Records last year.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, another major record label, Universal Music Group, demanded the removal of the embattled musician’s tracks from the streaming platform.<\/p>\n
Now that the allegations against D4vd have been publicly announced, pressure has increased on Spotify and Apple Music to remove his music from their platforms.<\/p>\n
At the forefront, Industry Blackout, a music advocacy group, is leading the campaign and urging the complete removal of the rapper’s music from streaming platforms.<\/p>\n
In a petition, he wrote, “The music industry has a responsibility that goes beyond commerce. When an artist has been accused of sexual abuse and murder of a minor, a child who was drawn into his orbit through his music and public persona, continuing to stream, promote, and profit from his catalog is a choice. This is not a neutral one.”<\/p>\n
Celeste and D4VD are scheduled to be added after being reported missing in April 2024. His body was found in 2025.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
