Lahore Qalandars achieve big win against table toppers<\/h2>\n

Lahore Qalandars successfully chased the 200-run target against Peshawar Zalmi to register a crucial win on Saturday. Captain Shaheen Afridi led from the front and the team achieved the target with three balls to spare, securing their fifth win of the season and moving up to fourth place in the points table.<\/p>\n

Fakhar Zaman played an important role in chasing the target by scoring unbeaten 58 runs on 47 balls. He carried out the innings with calmness and control, ensuring that the required run rate remained within reach. His performance earned him the Player of the Match award.<\/p>\n

The middle order supported him well. Abdullah Shafiq added 25 runs in the powerplay, while Charith Asalanka contributed 33 runs to keep the innings steady. Sikandar Raza scored 29 runs in 11 balls and Daniel Sams completed the chase by scoring 35 not out in 15 balls.<\/p>\n

Babar Azam continues his excellent form in Pakistan Super League<\/h2>\n

Before Lahore Qalandars completed their run chase, Peshawar Zalmi posted a competitive total of 199 runs. Babar took the innings forward after Shaheen Afridi took two early wickets. He once again showed his consistency in the tournament and scored 59 runs in 45 balls.<\/p>\n

Babar is currently the second highest run-scorer in PSL 2026. He has scored 485 runs in nine innings at an impressive average of 80.83 and a strike rate of 141.40, which shows both consistency and superior scoring intent.<\/p>\n

The right-handed batsman scored an unbeaten 100 against Quetta Gladiators, his third PSL century. He also became the fastest player to reach 100 T20 half-centuries and remains the leading run-scorer in PSL history.<\/p>\n
