President Donald Trump’s Indian-origin aide Harmeet Dhillon, who was present at the White House dinner where shots were fired targeting administration officials, made some jokes that did not go down well with most social media users. The Assistant Attorney General of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division asked if the women at the event could repeat their outfits for another event. “Every woman at the event last night was silently wondering if they could repeat that dress at the ceremony, or use it for another red carpet event… because did it really “count”?” Dhillon posted on X from his personal account.The post received mixed reactions as many people did not like how Dhillon was highlighting the situation, with many sharing his humor and saying that they were thinking the same thing.One user wrote, “This post of yours disappoints me. I agree that people out there might be thinking that everything is fine, but some things don’t belong on social media and are best told only to your close friends. I have just lost some professional respect for you.”Dhillon also shared his look from the event from this account.However, on her official account, she announced that she had been hit on the head by the Secret Service while she was hiding under a table at the Washington Post, moving between their tables and chairs. “The Secret Service was very effective last night, rushing into an extremely crowded room to secure the scene. Everyone was calm and obeyed their orders to get down and out of the way. It could have been much worse.
