noah’s building plan
“Noah did everything as God commanded him” (Genesis 6:22)
When God chooses to do something on earth He uses a man or woman to accomplish it. This is a partnership that is completely one-sided. God got the worst part of the deal.
God has fallen into a very bad place with mankind. He decided to start again. He was going to wipe out the entire population and start over. He chose one person to implement his entire strategy. can you imagine that? God based His entire plan around one person. Why? Because he could trust him. The Bible says that Noah did everything as God commanded him. He did not argue with God. He did not take short cuts. He listened and he obeyed.
Who was this man Noah? “Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God” (Genesis 6:9-10). When it came time to put God’s plan into action, He chose Noah to build a bigger ark. However, Noah did not know what an ark was or how one was built. So, God told him how to make it. He gave it dimensions; Height, width, space requirements – whatever he needed to complete the task.
God will also direct us in doing His work. God is in partnership with us in our working lives. He has given us the tools, creativity, and inspiration to accomplish what He put us on earth to do. However for that partnership we have to listen to our senior partner because he knows how our project needs to be completed. And when you follow their instructions that project will be excellent in every way.
“This is what the Lord, your Savior, the Holy One of Israel, says: ‘I am the Lord your God, teaching you to profit, leading you on the path you should walk'” (Isaiah 48:17).
Do you need God to show you how to succeed in your calling? Ask for his wisdom and understanding. God says He will give it generously (James 1:5).
