Samsung Electronics today announced the launch of “Trips,” a new feature in Samsung Wallet designed to help Samsung Galaxy users organize and manage travel-related experiences in one place. Designed for travelers who want a seamless experience and fast access to important details while traveling, Trips brings together eligible travel items in Samsung Wallet so they can get important travel information when they need it.
“Travel plans are often scattered across confirmations, apps, and messages, and this creates friction exactly when people need clarity,” said Woncheol Chae, EVP of Mobile Experience (MX) business and head of the digital wallet team at Samsung Electronics. “By bringing Trip to Samsung Wallet, we’re giving Galaxy users a single place to keep their travel details organized and stay one step ahead of their plans.”
The new feature introduces a Trip Timeline that brings together all trip-related plans into a single view, adding structure to busy itineraries and providing an easier journey from start to finish. When users add eligible items to Samsung Wallet, Trips groups them together based on factors like time and location, helping travelers keep itineraries in one place even if details come from different sources.
Users can manage a range of travel-related experiences, including bookings such as hotels, flight schedules, car rentals and excursions, as well as tickets for buses, trains, theme parks and sporting events. Trips also supports the ability to manually add itinerary items and include memos with saved items to capture key reminders, plans, and notes during the trip.
The journeys underline Samsung’s continued commitment to evolve Samsung Wallet into a more helpful companion in everyday life. Over time, the company will continue to expand Samsung Wallet by adding new features and partner experiences, making it even easier for Samsung Galaxy users to access and manage the essentials they rely on, including while on the go.
Samsung Wallet provides users peace of mind through protection from Samsung’s industry-leading security platform, Samsung Knox. Samsung Knox uses security like encryption and biometric authentication to help keep sensitive information safe, so only the device owner can access that data.
Samsung Wallet is designed to be an easy-to-use, secure platform that helps Galaxy users organize everyday essentials – from payment cards to boarding passes – all in one mobile application. With a sophisticated interface and seamless access, Samsung Wallet is designed to keep within users’ reach while supporting an open ecosystem through trusted partner integrations that expand user experiences over time.
Availability
Trips will be available in Samsung Wallet on compatible Samsung Galaxy mobile phones from April 20261 In Korea, the United States and the United Kingdom.
