Delhi Capitals needed to get off to a good start with the ball; Rather, they needed to replicate something that Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood had done for Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, with none of the key fast bowlers playing, they look vulnerable to the RCB batsmen.
After a dreadful first innings performance by Delhi Capitals in the IPL clash between RCB and DC, RCB opener Jacob Bethel gave the much needed momentum to the RCB innings. He hit a tremendous hit, which went out of the park.

When RCB needed only 76 runs to win their 12th point of the season and extend their lead over Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, young opener Bethel, who replaced Phil Salt at the top of the order, got them off to a great start.
Although he did not add many runs, he hit two big hits to give the RCB batsmen the confidence which was much needed after the disappointing performance of the DC batsmen. He hit his second six in the third over off Kyle Jamieson, which went out of the park.
This hit was a tremendous six, which went 104 meters and deposited on the roof of the stadium. This laid the foundation for an easy win for the Royal Challengers.
Virat Kohli finished in style for Royal Challengers Bangalore
Devdutt Padikkal continued to carry the momentum for Royal Challengers Bangalore as Jacob Bethel was dismissed off the next ball of Kyle Jamieson after hitting a powerful six against the Kiwi pacer.
Padikkal scored 34 runs off the next 13 balls in his innings along with great Indian cricketer Virat Kohli achieving a new feat in the history of IPL. In the first innings, Padikkal seemed to be batting on a completely different track compared to the DC batsmen.
However, Kohli finished the game with two big sixes off T Natarajan and chased the smallest target in the history of IPL.

Before going for those two big sixes, Virat Kohli took a single off Axar Patel and with that he reached the historic milestone of 9000 runs in the history of IPL. He became the first batsman to cross the 9000 run mark, Rohit Sharma is the second highest run scorer after him with 7000+ runs.
Having played 275 matches in his career, he has scored 9012 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 19 years in the history of IPL. He has 66 half-centuries and 8 centuries to his name in IPL.
RCB batsmen looked in a hurry while chasing one of the most insignificant targets in the history of IPL. After MI, they have now become the second fastest team in the history of IPL to achieve the target in just 6.3 overs.
