Donald Trump has called out Jimmy Kimmel, hours after his wife Melania criticized the late-night host for his comments.
Visiting Truth Social, the US President, in his usual style, attacked the ABC host.
“Wow, Jimmy Kimmel, who is not funny in any way, as evidenced by his terrible television ratings, made a statement on his show that is truly shocking. He showed a fake video of the First Lady, Melania, and our son, Barron, as if they were actually sitting in his studio, listening to them speak, which they were not, and never will be. He then said, ‘Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have the glow of a widow-to-be.’ A day later, a maniac armed with a shotgun, handgun, and several knives tried to break into the ballroom of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He was there for a very clear and sinister reason. I appreciate that many people are outraged by Kimmel’s disgusting call to violence, and generally wouldn’t respond to anything he said, but this is going a bit far. Jimmy Kimmel should be fired immediately by Disney and ABC. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President Donald J. Trump”
