Prince William, Prince of Wales, visited RAF (Royal Air Force) Valley Airbase on 28 April.
The visit, which was part of the RAF’s 85th anniversary celebrations, saw the future king dressed in camouflage uniform and beret.
William is Royal Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Valley Base and spent three years there between 2010 and 2013, working as a search and rescue pilot.
Kensington Palace released a video clip of William’s visit via its official Instagram handle. The video shows the Prince of Wales inspecting the 85th anniversary parade and presenting an award to the best qualified flying instructor.
In the caption, the palace said, “Proud to present the Prince of Wales Award to mark RAF Valley’s 85th anniversary.”
Royal fans expressed their appreciation in the comments section, writing, “His personality and magic touch has people mesmerized because he will be the future king and is totally cool!!!”
Another wrote: “Thank you Prince William for serving our country.”
It is worth mentioning that since Prince William is celebrating his 15th anniversary with Kate Middleton on April 29, the place of their visit holds a special meaning for him.
The Prince and Princess of Wales previously lived in a rented house near the RAF Valley base in Wales for three years.
