Ed Sheeran has revealed that he suffers from shingles.
The Grammy Award winner took to Instagram on Tuesday to post about “a lot of new beginnings in my life” and also shared a health update as part of the same.
“I’ve had ringworm for the past month, wouldn’t recommend it, but it’s improving now,” he wrote.
Shingles is a painful condition caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox and usually occurs in people over the age of 50, however, Sheeran is 35.

“I wanted to shave it off to signal a new beginning,” he shared. He added, “I like it, I’m thinking of keeping it that way.”
