If you’re looking for a way to find out what outfits will look like on you, you might want to check out what Google is doing. The company has recently confirmed the launch of a New AI-powered wardrobe feature Within Google Photos, which lets users see how they would look with different wardrobe combinations. According to Google’s announcement:
Getting dressed is about to get easier, no matter how full your closet is. To help streamline your “nothing to wear” mornings – evenings and holidays – a new Google Photos feature will soon catalog the clothes you’re wearing in photos and create a digital closet that will keep your wardrobe at your fingertips.
The new feature will also scan a user’s photo library to identify clothing items and then curate them into a centralized collection. Users can also sort their in-app closet by category, which includes more specific items like tops, bottoms, jewellery, with the option to mix and match them depending on the mood and occasion. Google is also introducing a virtual “Try It On” tool, which allows users to generate a digital preview to see how an outfit looks before physically trying it on.
As far as availability goes, the feature will roll out to Android devices this summer, followed by a launch for iOS users.
