Howie Mandel recently opened up about his eldest daughter Jacqueline Schultz’s obsession with Michael Jackson.
For those unaware, Howie shares his three children, daughter Jacqueline, son Alex, and daughter Riley with his wife of over 45 years, Terri Mandel.
The father of three attended the premiere michael in Hollywood, California, where he spoke People Regarding the film, the magazine revealed that Jacqueline was an ardent fan of the late singer.
He told the outlet that his eldest daughter loved him so much as a child that she wanted to name her unborn brother after the King of Pop.
The 70-year-old Canadian comedian and television actor said, “My daughter – who is now 41 – and I were obsessed with Michael Jackson. When she was 4, (she) wanted my son (Alex Mandel), who is 36 – when my wife was pregnant with him – she wanted us to name our son Michael Jackson.”
Howie further explained that she was completely surprised and amazed when Jacqueline took her to meet her favorite artist Jacqueline.
America’s Got Talent The host recalled, “One day we took her to meet him and she couldn’t talk, and she was scared. And he was so sweet and wonderful to her.”
Howie said, laughing, “So, it was an epic time where I wanted him to know he was Michael Jackson, not his brother.”
It is pertinent to mention that Michael Jackson died on 25 June 2009 at the age of 50. He died of an overdose of propofol and other prescription drugs in Los Angeles.
