The alleged gunman who attempted to kill Donald Trump at a White House dinner described himself as “Rambo”, a top US prosecutor has said.
Jeanine Pirro said there is no doubt Suspicious, Cole Allen, 31, was behind last month’s shooting At the Washington Hilton.

Authorities say Allen – the son of a church leader – was heavily armed with a shotgun, handgun and knives when he breached the security perimeter one floor above the ballroom.
Pirro also stressed that it was not a friendly firefight in which a Secret Service agent was injured.
Instead, he said, the “brilliant Caltech graduate” turned gunman opened fire on himself on April 25 as he stormed the venue, where Trump, senior officials and hundreds of reporters had gathered.

“Clearly, the President is a Target. And make no mistake, this is not just a manifesto. That’s his job,” Pirro said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
The suspect reportedly wrote a hate-filled manifesto outlining his violent plans, describing himself as a “friendly federal killer.”
“I mean, this guy thought he was Rambo,” Pirro said.
“And he takes a picture of himself. He’s smug, he’s proud, and he’s focused on what he’s doing,” she said, pointing to a selfie allegedly taken by Allen in his hotel room before he launched the attack.
In the manifesto, which was first published by The Post, Allen reportedly listed “administration officials (not including FBI chief Mr. (Kash) Patel): They are targets, prioritized from highest ranking to lowest.”
While Trump was not directly named, one line said: “And I am no longer willing to allow a pedophile, rapist and traitor to wash my hands of his crimes.”
Pirro declined to confirm whether it was aimed at the president.
“You’ll have to ask him that. I don’t really care,” she said.
But he stressed that the broader evidence paints a clear picture.
“I think if you read the manifesto … it’s very clear who the intended target is. It’s very clear, based on the fact that as soon as this president said he was going to the Hilton for the White House correspondents dinner on March 2, (Allen) then decided to make the plan,” Pirro said.
“I can tell you, we will be able to prove it without a doubt,” she said.
“One issue people might wonder about is whether he’s crazy. He’s far from crazy. He’s brilliant. He has a master’s degree. He works at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.”
After this, questions were raised as to who shot the Secret Service agent, whose bulletproof jacket was hit by the bullet and he suffered minor injuries.
Initial speculation suggested friendly fire but Pirro shut down those claims.
When asked if investigators had determined who fired the shots, he said: “We have.”
“There is video of the defendant firing at a Secret Service agent. We can now establish that a bullet fired from the defendant’s Mossberg pump-action shotgun lodged in the vest of a Secret Service officer.
“It’s definitely his pill,” she said.
Allen now faces a series of federal charges, including attempting to assassinate the President of the United States, discharging a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence, and transporting a firearm and ammunition in interstate commerce with the intent to commit a felony.
He was arraigned last week but did not enter a plea.
Pirro herself was inside the Washington Hilton when the shooting occurred.
