(Worthy News) – Israel received a massive supply of military supplies this week as the United States steps up efforts to bolster the Jewish nation’s defense amid growing expectations that fighting with Iran could resume within days.
According to Israel’s Defense Ministry, two cargo ships delivered approximately 6,500 tons of munitions and military equipment, arriving at the ports of Ashdod and Haifa within a 24-hour period. The shipment included ground munitions, military trucks and advanced joint light tactical vehicles (JLTVs), underscoring the scale of the operation.
The overnight delivery, coordinated between Wednesday and Thursday, was part of a comprehensive logistics effort led by the Israel Defense Ministry’s Defense Procurement Directorate in partnership with its International Shipping Division, its U.S. Mission and the Israel Defense Forces’ Planning Directorate.
Upon arrival, the equipment was rapidly distributed throughout the country. Hundreds of trucks transported the material to IDF bases under the supervision of Defense Ministry Director General Major General (res.) Amir Baram, who personally supervised operations at the port of Ashdod.
Baram stressed that the resupply effort is ongoing and strategic. “At any given moment, cargo planes and ships are headed to Israel carrying thousands of tons of munitions and military equipment,” he said, adding that officials were preparing for “the demands of the coming security decade.”
Defense Minister Israel Katz reinforced the message of readiness, saying Israel is ready to take decisive action against threats on any front. He described the expanded air and sea bridge as essential to maintaining operational superiority and ensuring that the IDF could return to full-scale combat at a moment’s notice.
Since the launch of “Operation Roaring Lion” on February 28, Israel has received more than 115,600 tons of military equipment through more than 400 airlifts and numerous sea shipments, reflecting an unprecedented level of military support as tensions continue to rise across the region.
