Tipster Smart Pikachu shared information about the primary camera of the Galaxy S27 Ultra on Weibo. According to the leak, Samsung is currently testing a 200MP main sensor with variable aperture for its next-generation flagship.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
Samsung last introduced variable aperture camera with the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. This technology allows the camera sensor to physically adjust its aperture depending on lighting conditions, improving performance in both bright and low-light scenarios.
Interestingly, Apple is also rumored to introduce a variable aperture rear camera in its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series.

Recent leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra may switch to a triple rear camera setup, potentially removing the 3X telephoto camera that has been a staple of Ultra models in recent years. The 200MP main rear camera is said to support LOFIC technology.
