Like clockwork, Google is highlighting its monthly security patches for its Pixel phones, and some specific issues are being targeted.
Google has it Posted my changelog For the May 2026 security update, which is being rolled out for Pixels ranging from the Pixel 7a to the Pixel 10 series. The vCP1A.260505.005 rollout to owners of these phones will begin today, and will continue into the near future. Google detailed a major fix for the issue that’s been plaguing all devices eligible for this month’s update.

Along with this problematic wireless charging issue, some display issues are also being targeted in this update. The former is becoming a constant for Google, as it doesn’t seem to get rid of the Pixel 10’s continued performance struggles. Whether it’s freezing or flickering, there’s always an issue to crush.
It says that you should find a solution to “Slow wireless charging speed when battery level is between 75% and 80%”. While this update includes all its phones from Pixel 7a to Pixel 10, the company says it also includes Pixel tablets. Elsewhere, the Pixel 10 series is set to get a fix for the camera issue. Google says there have been reports where some Pixel 10 series users encountered freezing “while recording and adjusting the zoom level.”

A solution for this is also being released along with a framework fix for the Pixel keyboard. Freezing issues also hit the region, with Google saying that “under certain conditions the keyboard or input screen may freeze or become incorrectly positioned in some apps.”
The rest of the changelog is as follows:
- Fix an issue that causes a persistent blinking white dot or visual noise to appear at the top of the display in some situations (Pixel 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL)
- Fix an issue that may cause the screen to intermittently appear blurry, frozen, or display noisy lines (Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL)

It has become quite common to see display improvements being released from Google, especially for its Pixel 10 series. pixel 10 Users reported freezing issues with AOD (Always-On Display) after the March update. Some users said that freezes would occur several times a day, forcing them to restart their devices. This wasn’t the only display issue, as Google’s Pixels have been plagued with flickering and other issues recently.
Still, Google continues to work hard and that’s all we can hope for. In April, the company started fixing some stability issues with Android 16. Google also focused on the Pixel 10, Pro, and Pro XL during that time, hoping to solve performance issues while gaming as well.
