The goal is to know your own body well enough to notice when something changes.”
“People focus on the moles, but it’s not just the moles,” she reminds us. “Pay attention to a wound that doesn’t heal, a spot that is bleeding or crusting, a shiny bump, a rough scaly spot, a pimple that isn’t going away, an itchy or tender spot, a dark line under the nail, or a new/changing spot on the scalp, lips, palms, soles, or between the toes. The most important warning sign is behavior: new, changing, bleeding, itching, or Not being well.”
