Android 17 is off and running
We’ve seen Android 17 enter its “platform stability” phase, but Google isn’t wasting any time This was followed shortly by the rolling out of QPR1 Beta 1. This update is intended to be the first major update of the software next Its arrival. It’s a little weird to think that Google is already moving ahead on “new features,” but that’s probably just smart thinking. When QPR1 Beta 1 launched, there were no notable features to discuss. The company mainly focused on fixing problems for the Pixel.
Android Central’s Tech
Google is wasting no time in building its next major OS along with its new software development. Reliability and refinement are the name of the game for Android 17, which means we probably won’t see anything explosive. Still, I’m quite interested in what it’s working on for the next OS, so refining what we have isn’t that bad in my eyes.
This is largely similar to the patch notes Google detailed this week for Beta 2. We are expecting Android 17 to be released in mid-2026. QPR1 content will likely wait until the end of the year, potentially around August or September.
