Sarah Ferguson is reportedly being mocked in royal circles as her close relationship with ex-husband Prince Andrew continues to weaken after years of controversy involving Jeffrey Epstein.
According to reports, some insiders have cruelly referred to the former Duchess of York as a “high-society burglar” as she is said to be living with rich friends and shuttling between places like Ireland, Dubai and the United States.
An insider claimed that Fergie and Andrew’s relationship has now changed, although they were still close after their divorce in 1996.
And now Ferguson is said to be upset with the way she is being viewed, as she always believed she and Andrew would continue to weather tough times together.
He said, “Sarah spent years standing loyally by Andrew while almost everyone distanced themselves from him. She defended him privately, remained in the Royal Lodge, and truly believed that they would continue to face the consequences together, no matter how bad things got.”
“But over time, the pressure, humiliation and social exile surrounding the Epstein scandal changed the dynamic between them,” the insider said.
“There are people in elite social circles who now cruelly refer to Sarah as a ‘high-society burglar’ because she is effectively moving from place to place, relying on wealthy friends for support.
“She’s basically living the life of an upmarket con-woman who is on the run. She hates that notion because she always saw herself as part of a royal partnership, not someone living on favors and temporary arrangements.”
