Erewhon smoothie in hand, yoga mat in tote, and a cute workout set, LA it-girls always know how to show up to studio class. Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of content around activewear — the theory that “girls with matching sets” don’t get tired, thrifty nods to Y2K athletics, and an emphasis on non-restrictive workout wear. I took this change in the algorithm as my cue to move forward. I commute into the city, so don’t get me wrong, I walk a lot, but I miss having a dedicated space to work out. So, I decided to sign up for a Pilates membership. Immediately into this new journey, I realized that there was something missing in my exercise drawer. So, I moved on. Get an in-depth look at the best leggings brands. And this is exactly what is happening in front of you below.
Taking notes from L.A. it-girls like Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber, I found the best leggings of 2026. The usual suspects are here: Aloe and Vuori, but pay close attention, and you might discover a new favorite. Here are my editor reviews of six brands ideal for studio classes, Pilates, yoga, everyday wear, and travel. Catch me on the reformer and on the yoga mat, I tested these leggings. Best leggings brands of 2026
adanola
My choice: Adanola Ultimate Leggings, $65
How I tested: Reformer Pilates Class
I wore them with a seamless zip-up (another fan-favorite) and instantly felt very chic. I finally understand the hype around matching workout sets. I felt invincible. Soft to the touch, these high-waisted leggings followed me throughout class, whether on or off the reformer. I appreciate the lightweight design and opaque coverage. These leggings aren’t limited to the gym; These can be easily styled with sneakers and a track jacket for a post-Pilates coffee run or, for Jenner, with a pair of The Row flats and a leather carryall.
size range: XXS to XXXL—I wear a size S.
Inseam: 7/8 22.8 inches, regular 26 inches, length 29.9 inches
Colour: 8—I’m wearing Coffee Bean.
Size Tip: I recommend going up a size. While the 4-way stretch is forgivable, I found the medium compression and high-rise waistband a little tight.

vuori
My choice: Vuori OldtheFeels Leggings$110
How I tested: Vinyasa Yoga Class
my review: When I’m in yoga class, I don’t like heavy-compression leggings. I want to feel supported, never restricted. That’s why I was excited to try out Vuori’s lightweight support. The first thing I noticed when testing the leggings was how soft they felt; They’re made from Vuori’s own BlissBlend material, which is made from 75% recycled fabrics. I was grateful for the 4-way stretch as I went through my flow. If you’re like me and like to shop by activity, Vuori curates a list of the best items for different activities. For my Pilates and yoga buddies, I think the AllTheFeels collection is a great place to start. P.S. wear with strappy back tank For a complete set.
size range: XXX to XXL—I wear a size S.
Inseam: Short 22 inches, Regular 24 inches, Tall 27 inches
Colour: 11—I’m wearing eggshell blue. With lighter, more pastel leggings, I always have trouble finding the right undergarment to wear with them. Through a lot of trial and error, I found that a seamless thong works best for that no-show look. This is definitely something to consider when deciding what color leggings to buy.
Size Tip: Designed with breathable, lightweight support, I found the leggings to be a little loose. I’ll be interested to see how the XS size fits. In the product description, Vuori recommends that if you’re between sizes, size down. I will also say the same.

How I tested: Restorative Yoga Class
my review: After a long day in the city, I just want a relaxing workout. That’s when I go to a calming and restorative yoga class where we do long stretches of asanas to relax your body and muscles. For this type of exercise, I prefer soft, low-impact support. The FP Movement Never Better collection offers exactly that. Made from matte material, I’m sure these flexible leggings will be making frequent appearances in my yoga classes. I doubled up on stretchy activewear and paired leggings with FP Movement smooth square neck cami From the go to collection. Speaking of leggings, the high-rise silhouette looked flattering, and the hidden front pocket was the perfect place to stash my jewelery during class. Not to mention, they’re under $100. Shout out to the Capri Edition: Never Better Mini Leggings.

Yes, they’re attractive (especially when worn with this). Studio Long-TIdeal for low-impact training). The On design team took their time crafting a pair of leggings for studio workouts like yoga and Pilates. They haven’t missed a step—a phone-sized side pocket, no front seams, and a high-waist fit. alo
My choice: Elo 7/8 High-Waist Airlift Leggings$134
How I tested: soto method class with blue indigo
my review: I was invited by Blue Nile to take my first Soto Method class. And let me tell you, there was no other pair of leggings I would wear other than the Elo 7/8 High-Waist Airlift. Those three pound weights seem innocent at first, but after a few rounds, my biceps started screaming. The compressive fit was exactly what I needed for this high-intensity workout.
I have tested both the leggings in black and light Provence blue. Black is a traditional leggings color that works well for both studio classes and work, but light blue is a fun alternative. Keep in mind what I said about light colors; You’ll want to find the right type of undergarment. Aloe is another favorite of Kendall Jenner, and I have to say there’s a reason for that. Quality is reflected in the build, feel and wear and tear. i styled them with Ribbed Prosper Tank and this Cropped Accolade Crewneck.
size range: XXS to L—I’m wearing a size S.
Inseam: 7/8 24.5 inches, full 28 inches
Colour: 4 Core, 20 Limited—I’m wearing Light Provence Blue.

old Navy
My choice: old Navy PowerSoft Boundless 7/8 Leggings$40
How I tested: Reformer Pilates Class
my review: When someone mentions leggings, the first brand that comes to mind is Old Navy. At only $40, there’s a good chance you’ll find them on sale, in my opinion, these are a must when it comes to activewear. The look is similar to that of any celebrity-endorsed brand. At first thought, you wouldn’t think of Old Navy and activewear, but yes. Even our own LA it-girl, Chichi Ofor, reviewed the activewear and was amazed by the collection: “There was such a strong selection of items, including, but not limited to, these. leggings, Jackets, tops, sweats, and more. Plus, almost every style I clicked on was available in sizes ranging from XXS to 4X. Yes, you heard right: the big size Option Certainly there were, with tall and small size stuff.”
More about what I liked – the compression provided by the leggings is supportive without being restrictive, the sturdy construction not only looks great but it also feels great, and the deep side pockets were a bonus.

Inseam: Petite 23 Inch, Regular 25 Inch, Length 28 Inch
Colour: 7—I’m wearing dark sepia.
Size Tip: True to size – I liked the no front seam and where the high-waist sat just above my hips.
