Starting today, Strava users can now log a workout and tap the latest airpods pro 3 Workout facility. Strava says it works with the standalone AirPods Experience or the Apple Watch.
Strava for iPhone can now read heart rate data from both AirPods and Apple Watch
The latest version of Strava specifically calls out AirPods Pro 3 workout support.
Strava says, “Now when you wear AirPods Pro 3 during a workout, Strava can live stream your heart rate to the mobile record – straight from your ears.”
Apple’s new AirPods Pro 3 headphones are the first AirPods to include built-in heart rate tracking — no Apple Watch required.
If you work out with someone apple watchStrava will use the best heart rate data available, giving you more accurate workout tracking.
“Pair them with an Apple Watch and both devices work together, automatically choosing the strongest signal so you can get the most accurate readings, whether you’re running, riding or taking a lift. No extra setup, no extra gear, just press record.”
Strava said the new feature requires AirPods Pro 3 with iOS 18 or later.
You can also track physical therapy exercises with Strava
Earlier this month, Strava added a new category of sports for tracking: physical therapy.
“Keep the sequence alive with your PT exercises, see how often you’re doing your calf raises, and how much time you spend doing physical therapy each week and month,” Strava announces.
Between physical therapy exercise tracking and AirPods Pro 3 support, this is a pretty nice pair of releases from Strava.
Strava also released offline maps for the Apple Watch and a fun list of new workout types so far this year.
